Inadequate water and poor sanitation exposes individuals and communities to significant health risks. The World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that nearly 829 000 people die each year from unsafe drinking water.

This is often the result of inadequate sewage infrastructure, which leads to contamination of the water supply. This, in turn, has significant effects on public health, well-being and economic development. UN Water estimates that 3.6 billion people lack access to safe sanitation. For this reason, ensuring efficient and clean sanitation is one of the top priorities in emergency relief operations and support for developing countries.

Water-free Cinderella Incineration Toilets provide safe sanitation

The Cinderella Incineration Toilet incinerates human waste without using water or chemicals. It can be powered by either propane gas or electricity and does not require connection to a sewer or other infrastructure. It is quick and easy to install.

The toilet can also handle toilet paper and tampons, and the only by-product from the process is sterile ash that can easily be deposited with household waste. On average, a family of four produces a coffee cup’s worth of ashes during a week of use. This eliminates the risk of contamination from sewage and hinders the spread of illness and disease from human waste.

No sewer infrastructure necessary

The Cinderella Incineration Toilet provides basic, safe and clean sanitation facilities without the need for water or sewer infrastructure. Easy to install and use, the toilet is suitable for a variety of sites, such as construction crane cabins, railroad maintenance cars, fishing platforms, portable housing and worker welfare facilities.

In communities lacking sanitation – such as refugee camps, field hospitals or low-income urban and rural areas in developing countries – the Cinderella Incineration Toilet can help to ensure access to clean water and prevent the spread of disease.

The Cinderella Incineration Toilet meets demanding certifications and approvals. It has received awards in Best Engineering Design and Best Product Design and won Best-in-Test awards from Swedish Testfakta on both occasions when incinerating toilets were consumer-tested.

High demand for sanitation solutions

More than half of the world’s population still lacks access to safe and clean sanitation, so the demand for efficient sanitation solutions is high.

Founded in the mid-1990s, Cinderella Eco Group has a strong position in the European and North American leisure home, mobile home and RV markets. The company also delivers sanitation solutions to the construction, maintenance and production industries.

The company is now building partnerships with development aid and emergency relief organisations to play a more significant role in providing clean water and sanitation where this is needed the most.
